I’ve Got Skin in the Game

From the Timeless Team:
We are excited to announce that Dr. Clinton has created a podcast series called “I’ve Got Skin in the Game.” The series will be dedicated to sharing her journey with ovarian cancer. She wants her story to be shared to help others understand the disease, talk about the great advancements in cancer treatments, and speak to the fears that a diagnosis like this can bring to everyone involved.

Listen to it here:

Good Morning

from Chris Clinton,
Carol had a good night of sleep and the gradual recovery from surgery continues. At this point, she is self directing her care.. 😉 and as you would expect knows all the numbers from the machines. —- She just told me that she is resting better than she was yesterday….yeh!

Going Walkabout

from Chris Clinton:
After a good physical assessment, Carol leapt off the bed did some pushups, sit-ups and a lap around the hospital floor……well kinda. She was able to sit up at the edge of the bed, which she extended with an unexpected short walk. So good progress thru to this evening…thanks to everyone for positivities and prayers throughout the day. ..until tomorrow

Afternoon update

from Chris Clinton:
Carol is recuperating now in the hospital room where she will stay for the next few days, possibly thru Saturday. All is as good as expected…her focus is on resting and recuperating.

Recovering from surgery

from Chris Clinton:
Carol is in the recovery room….the plan was for the surgeon to remove what had shown up on the scan, which he did. Next step is chemo over the next few months to remove anything left that is microscopic..so we remain on the expected course.

Moving along

from Chris Clinton:
Carol’s surgery started at about 10:40am EST. It might take as long as three hours. So, all is going well to this point..more to come…

An Important Week

Thank you for the outpouring of support since I shared the news that I will be undergoing surgery this week for a recurrence of ovarian cancer. Your words of support and concern have been very comforting to me, my family and the team at Timeless Skin Solutions.

I am ready for surgery and have confidence in my treatment plan and care team. I will be the beneficiary of significant advancements that have been made since I first faced this disease so long ago. You can continue to reach me at doctorcarolclinton@gmail.com and my husband Chris will be posting updates here on our blog. As I am feeling up to it I will share this journey with you on the blog and in social media. Again, I think it helps to understand such a diagnosis, the treatment and most importantly, recovery. This morning I say a prayer for my physician that I have said for myself for years: God bless his mind, his hearts and hands to work in unison for the sake of the health of his patients today.

If you’re interested in knowing more about ovarian cancer, I encourage you to read the new spring issue of Buckeye Lifestyle. I happened to be interviewed earlier this year about my first diagnosis. You’ll also find helpful information in the article about the disease and detection.

Please know that you are in excellent care at Timeless Skin Solutions while I press pause to focus on my health. As we’ve expanded the practice, I personally interviewed, hired and continue to conduct ongoing training with our team members. That’s why I can say with the utmost confidence that you’re in excellent hands. Led by Dr. Mindy Jacques and Dr. Erin Olah, our clients will continue to get the best personalized medical care possible from our physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants at both our Dublin and New Albany locations. My trusted team has it covered and looks forward to continuing to provide you with results that you’ve come to expect from Timeless Skin Solutions.

Again, I thank you for all of your support. You’ll hear from me again soon.

Sincerely,
Dr. Carol Clinton

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM DR. CAROL CLINTON

The past 18 months have been filled with positive changes and growth at Timeless Skin Solutions. We added a location in New Albany with several new team members who provide our patients with the most advanced skin care treatments possible. Our Dublin location continues to thrive thanks to referrals from our loyal patients and amazing team of professionals.

In order to continue offering the highest level of care to our patients, I have focused my efforts on keeping abreast of new and developing treatments, while personally hiring and training each new staff member. The Timeless team has never been stronger and the feedback from our patients reflects that. It is gratifying to see my staff grow and I am 100 percent confident in their abilities.

Over the years, I’ve been open about my journey with cancer. I was fortunate to get excellent care and overcome the disease while I was a busy doctor and young mother. Since then, I have openly shared the details of my care and treatment with many of you, as well as at conferences and in the media. I hope that in sharing my story, I can demystify the diagnosis and treatment for others.

(L to R) Dr. Carol Clinton and fellow members of her Pelotonia team, Girls With Gears.

I write today to share the news that the cancer I had many years ago has returned and I will be undergoing surgery next week. I am getting exceptional care and I will also be receiving a treatment that is substantially more advanced than in years past. As before, I plan to share my journey with you as I think it helps to understand such a diagnosis, the treatment, and most importantly, recovery. I welcome your well wishes and check-in’s during my time out of the office at doctorcarolclinton@gmail.com.

We will continue to provide the expert care you’ve come to expect at Timeless Skin Solutions, led by my husband, Chris Clinton, and the tremendous team of professionals at both Timeless locations.

I thank you for your care and support as I once again travel down this path.

Sincerely,
Dr. Carol Clinton
